Medivir is a Swedish biotechnology company. The company was founded in 1988 as a spin-off of Astra Zeneca’s antiviral research unit. In 1996, Medivir was listed on Nasdaq OMX, the Stockholm Stock Exchange’s midcap list of medium-sized companies.
